MSU/Auburn Game Day

Last weekend, we headed over to Starkville to see our friends and family, and watch the Dawgs pull out a huge win over Auburn.

How excited were we to see our fellow MSU Dawg and Tallassee resident, Tom "Bully" Crain!

Banks already had his eye on the toys on the ground below.  No good pics of the sir this weekend.  Oh well!

Celeste, Perry Cate, and David  (Tripp was with his Grandmother at the hotel napping).

Brooke, Me, Lynlee, and Jennifer Lynne

I walked into the stadium a little late due to the rain and look who I ran into!    My sweet friend Joni and her baby girl, Chatam.  Joni and I worked at Novo together and had some great times at training.

Perry Cate was an angel in the game.  What a cutie!

I am a true Bama fan, but could pull out the maroon top since the Dawgs were playing Auburn.    (sorry Auburn friends!!)

After half time, Brooke and I headed back to the tailgate to enjoy some peace and quiet.....and the babies napped.

Weejie loves holding Banks and it is so sweet.

Brooke and Lynlee

Caroline and Jack.

The kids are so sweet when they sleep, right!??

Tripp came to the tailgate after his nap at the hotel.

Weejie loves his babies!  Too bad Banks was too interested in his cookie to look at the camera.

Thank goodness for cars, tractors, and motorcycles!

I left early to take Banks home, and the rest of the family hung out and celebrated the big win.

We were all glad to see cousin Scott (far right) who is a freshman and State and loving it!!

Tractors

Our sweet Aunt Dinnie gave Banks some of Uncle Syd's tractors a couple of weeks ago and they are by far his favorite toys to date.  He literally spent hours and hours playing with them the first few days.  He still plays with them every day for at least 2 hours.  For some reason, he has chosen his table in the kitchen as their "spot".

Thank you Dinnie!  You have made Banks a happy boy!

I was about 1 minute too late getting my camera.  Banks loves to drive the tractors on Casey.  She just lays there and lets him do it, but when I got up to go get the camera, Casey popped up to follow me (typical).  So, as she walked off, Banks just drove his cell phone over her back. They are just the best of buds.

While Mommy was in Dallas...

Bryan took Banks over to Vicksburg while I went to Dallas.  Bryan took the good camera with him because he had all of the good intentions of taking lots of pictures of Banks with all of his family and cousins.  Well.....Bryan quickly learned that if you are taking pictures the entire time, you can't properly chase a 21 month old wild child.  Needless to say, he did get some good shots of Banks at the new splash pad in downtown Vicksburg.

Here is our conversation about the lack of pictures of Banks and cousin Lynlee.

Me:  "Bryan, why did you not get more pictures of Banks and Lynlee?"

Bryan:  "Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a wild 21 month old and  4 month old to look at the camera?  It is not easy!  I was too busy chasing him the entire time to take pictures!"

So, this is the best we could do.  Sweet cousins!

Bryan did a great job having the Sir for 4 days and a total of about 12 hours in the car alone with him.  He couldn't have done it without our buddy Elmo and a stack of Ritz Crackers.

Cowboys Classic

Over the weekend, I went Dallas to cheer on the Tide.  It was a great trip (Thank you Daddy!) and we pulled off a BIG win and had a ton of fun.

I was so glad to meet up with Mary Catherine and Gavin (my National Champ Trip buds) before the game.

104 degrees out side the stadium.  Thank goodness they had the top of the dome closed!!

This jumbo-tron is so massive....words just can't describe how big it is.  It was VERY impressive and I found myself wanting to watch it instead of the field.

They also do "fan cam" throughout the entire game and it was a hoot watching people and their reactions when they realized they were on the jumbo-tron.

Michael and Daddy.  Man, do they look excited or what?

Sunday morning, we headed over Dealy Plaza and they 6th floor Museum at the Book Depository.

As you all know, this is the site where on November 22, 1963, President Kennedy was shot and killed.

We thoroughly enjoyed this.  It is just very hard to believe that happened.

Michael on the "grassy knoll", where some believe a 3rd shot was fired.

X marks the spot where President Kennedy was shot.

The window where Lee Harvey Oswald shot the President.  He had his sniper's next set up in that corner window. They found the gun and the book boxes where he rested his gun.

No photos were allowed inside, otherwise, we would have taken pictures inside.

Oswald shot from this window as the President's car came down this hill.

After lunch we went back to Cowboys stadium and went on a "VIP tour" of the stadium.  All I can say is that stadium is unbelievable.  So nice, big, clean, state of the art...you get the picture.

Michael is ready to join the team.

This is Jerry Jones' personal viewing booth on the 50 yard line.

I am a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team show so I was super pumped to go into their locker room.

Oh Lawd!  Horrifying thought of me in that uniform!!!!

We then went into the player's locker room.

We went on the field last.

If you are ever in Dallas, please make time to go on this tour.  It was well worth it!

Not too much going on here....

August has been a slow month around here.  No school, no drug rep job making this mama a crazy lady, no out of town trips, etc.  We have just been getting acclimated to Montgomery and it is going much better.  We have met some very nice people and even went out with 4 other couples!

Needless to say, I have not taken many pictures but I did manage to snap a few of these events.

We went to the Buckmaster's Expo (well, I was along for the snooze fest....) but I did wake up and get excited when we got to see these gator catching guys.  (minus the random stranger)  Sorry, I did not feel like waiting in the LONG line with an unruly baby...so we crashed this guys photo session.

We went to visit Mamaw and Banks was very interested in her bowl of Hershey's kisses.

Mama and I drove by the new Hueytown High School on the way out of town.  Wow!  What a nice school!!!!

Today, Banks had his first day of Fall Mothers' Day Out.  Paci in tow, of course....I tell you, I can't pry that thing out of his mouth.  I am in for some real trouble when we have to say goodbye to that thing.

Banks loves his new teachers, Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Linda.  (and new friend, Connor)

I can't say I made this.  You know this is the work of Leigh Anne, of course.

She made this school supply cake for Banks' teachers.

We have a very busy September!  Trips to Dallas (Roll Tide!), Starkville (Go Dawgs) and the BEACH!   Also I have started violin lessons again and I am SO excited about that.  Updates to come.....

New Favorite Web Site

Forget Pinterest.....Ladies, if you like to accessorize and put outfits together, I have the web site for you.

I only dream about being as "put together" as the examples on this site, but one can dream.

When I first stumbled upon this site and after browsing for a while, I realized that I might have some items in my closet that I need to wear more and/or put together differently.

You will just get some great ideas hopefully.

Bookmark it gals, 'cause they update daily.

Anna Kate, you stylish thing, I must say, most of the outfits reminded me of you!!!
