Lauren and Cody

Last night, Bryan and I had a small dinner party to celebrate Lauren and Cody's engagement. Lauren is one of my best friends and I am so happy for her. She and Cody are getting married on March 6, 2010 and it is so much fun to see how happy Cody makes her. I wanted to have a special dinner for them and I made some of her favorite dishes including my southwest egg rolls and crab cakes. It was also fun to use some of our new wedding gifts. Congratulations Lauren and Cody!!!
Lauren and Abby (who set them up on a blind date). Way to go Abby!

Peggy Palmer Weaver

This beautiful little girl is Peggy Palmer Weaver. She is the daughter of my good friends, Whitney and Steven Weaver. Peggy Palmer is 4 weeks old and is so precious. Lucky for me, she lives right around the corner and I am always close by to go and visit her. Whitney says that she is up every hour or so...but every time I have been around her she is asleep! Isn't that funny? Whitney is doing a wonderful job as a new mom and I can't wait for Peggy to get a little bigger so we can get out and about with her. For more of Peggy Palmer, you can visit Whitney's blog. (found on my blog list)

Basil's Bed

My pug Basil is a sad little dog. She is old and can't see which makes her a bit timid. She just lays around most of the time. She loves to lay on her bed in the garage at night but during the day she has nothing. She started to sit on our patio furniture but when it started to stink, we had to do something. Bryan went out to run errands the other day and came home with this new bed for the deck. Basil loves it and has been propped on it ever since. I walked out this morning and found her like this. I just think she has the sweetest face.

Reception- The Trophy Room

Our reception was held at The Trophy Room in downtown Tallassee. I must thank Mr. Bill McKenzie for allowing us to use his magnificent museum as our venue. Mr. McKenzie is quite the hunter. He killed every animal in The Trophy Room in Africa and has them displayed in the most amazing fashion. It is really something to see and our guests were quite impressed. Thank you Mr. McKenzie!
As I stated in my earlier post, the flowers were stunning. Al Cantrell, owner of Al's Flowers, completely blew us away. He did about 6 arrangements at the church as well as several at The Trophy Room, including this particular one at the entrance.

The Bride

Bryan likes Mississippi State, I like Wedgwood.

Notice Georgia Anne out on the floor with her new friend and Bryan's cousin, Luke. They were too cute and danced all night. When Luke had to leave, he broke down and cried. At one point, someone asked Georgia to dance and she replied " No thank you, I have somebody else in mind." She then went and found Luke and brought him to the dance floor. It was just a scream.
As I said, Bryan is a huge Mississippi State fan.

We had a great time dressing up the Bride and Groom.
I had a great time with my bridesmaids on the dance floor.
Jeremy Taunton grabbed Granny and took her to the dance floor. I told him to be careful with her because she is a little unsteady on her feet. He replied "Don't worry, I can handle it." I must say, he did a great job and she loved it! I must give it to her-Granny has some moves. Go Granny! They were so cute and Granny loved every minute of it. It was one of the best moments of the night for me.
The Syndicate Band of Montgomery provided the music so we could get down! I knew they would be fun and our guests loved them.

Wedding

Well, it's official, Bryan and I are married!!! Our wedding was everything that I had always dreamed it be and we had a blast. The ceremony was very sweet and everything went perfectly. The Lamb Family, Lee Jackson, and Leslye Ames provided the music. It was amazing. The flowers were more beautiful than I could have imagined. I went to the church the morning of the wedding and they simply took my breath away. The church was packed! I was checking everyone out as I came in with my dad and I could not stop smiling. I loved being the bride!
What a beautiful wedding party!

Leigh Anne and Daniel (before he had to go to the nursery)

Precious Georgia Anne
She was the flower girl and was the sweetest little girl all day! She told me that her dress was almost just like my dress and that we looked alike. She was right by me most of the day and it melted my heart. She loved her petals but I think she secretly wanted a bouquet. When she walked down the aisle, The Lamb Family played "Jesus Loves Me" and it was one of my favorite moments of the wedding.

MY FAVORITE!
I love this picture because it shows how happy I was as we walked out!
I love Bryan more that words can say and this picture says it all.

My parents, who were so generous and threw us the best wedding.
Doesn't my mom look beautiful in her dress? Daddy doesn't look so bad himself.

Overall, it was the happiest day of my life! Bryan and I love being married and are getting settled at home. I will post pictures of the reception next. Our photographer will post her pictures on her web site and I will will notify everyone when they are ready for viewing.
