Lake FUN!

We had a great weekend at Lake Martin.  Bryan and I rented a cabin from our friends the McKenzies.  We also rented a boat and had a grand ole time on the water.

The first thing Banks wanted to do was catch a fish.

He was very eager and could not be patient enough to just let it sit there, so needless to say, he did not catch a fish.  Oh well.

Next we went out on the boat.  Banks was SO excited to drive and help Bryan drive the boat.  We were also concerned as to how he would do having to wear the life jacket the entire time, but he did great.  He didn't mind at all.  (Good news for Mommy and Daddy).

This little angel was loving the lake too.  He sat out a couple of the boat rides thanks to my parents and Melanie.  However, when we did take him out, he did pretty good.

The weekend would not be complete without a cruise by Chimney Rock.

Banks was so excited to see the ice cream truck, well ice cream boat.

Melanie had the blocks that belonged to her oldest son and Banks loved building a castle.  He even told me that the "princess lives up there".

Casey was along for the ride too.  She absolutely had a great time.  She is almost 13 years old but she still "has it".  She can swim as well as she could when she was a puppy.

Oh, she was SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!    Water and sand to roll around in when she was wet...the BEST!

Sunday night, we rode over to Kowliga to eat with my parents.

And the story of our life continues.  We try to take a family pic but it just does not seem to be in the cards for us.

Sure Reid, your shirt looks good up like that and Banks, yes, that Boat is more interesting than a camera.

3 Months Old

I don't even know where to begin to start.  This is the most precious baby, sweetest, happiest, cutest, and so on and so forth.  And to think that 3 months ago I was worried if I would be able to love him, without taking love away from Banks.  The best way to describe it for me is that my love has grown or doubled.  My heart was full of love for my one child, but now it is overflowing with the addition of this baby.

Ok enough of that.  I love Reid.

Here is a run down of what he is up to.

SMILING!  Cooing, and just "talking" up a storm. He loves to watch people, especially me.  Every time I look down it seems like he is looking up at me smiling.  I mean it literally makes me want to explode he is so sweet.

SLEEPING!  This is the best baby hands down.  He get up at 6:30.  Eats, plays and takes a cat nap at 8.  At 9 I feed him again and he will sleep until noon.  I wake him up at noon, feed him and he is back down around 1:15.  I wake him up at 3:15/3:30 and feed him.  He hangs out until 6.  Sometimes he cat naps, other days he is awake and just hangs.  We feed him at 6:30 and give him a bath.  I swaddle him at 7:00 and he is down for the night.   Dream baby to say the least.

SHOPPING!  He and I have been doing a lot of shopping.  Mainly in Birmingham for house stuff but I think we have finished the den so we are about to take a break.  He is a great traveler and does great in stores.  He also causes quite a fuss everywhere we go, which is always fun.

He drinks 4 oz bottles, just moved to a size 2 diaper, LOVES to "just lay around" on his mat on  his back, loves his bath, his paci, and he is learning to tolerate the abuse inflicted upon him by a certain 2 year old that is always lurking around.  He is also healthy, thank goodness.  I looked back and at this age, Banks had already been sick 3 times.

Any day now, we are anticipating the roll over.  Stay tuned!

Mr. Fix It

Oh the joys of trying to play inside ALL of the time.  I really hate this rain and some days, I am about to go crazy.  BUT, some days Banks just makes being inside so fun because he is so funny and just entertains me with his interests.   This particular rainy day, he decided to work on his cars.

Holding my Head Up!

Leigh Anne and I snapped these pics of Reid the other day.

Reid is doing a great job of holding his head up and it's getting fun!

Enjoy!

Bowling

Rain, rain, and more rain means indoor activities.

Banks has never been bowling so we wasted no time taking him this weekend.

Look at his shoes.  I about died they were so funny!

Precious checked out the bowling alley for about 10 minutes then decided it was not for him, so he slept until we got home.

Banks was very determined to carry his own ball over and was very strong!

YAY!!!!!!  I did it.  I did it. I did it!  repeat about 1000 times and you get the picture.

Repeat about 1000 high fives....

He even had a little victory dance.  Oh so cute and funny.

Ok look at this score board.  "B" could be Bryan or Banks.  I won't say who won or lost except it was border line sad.  My score is just sad....I have no excuses...I have recovered from having the baby, I was using a heavy ball, I was looking at the lines down the middle of the alley, and so on and so on.  I am just a terrible bowler.
