I Run Fast!

All I can say is that my little boy is growing up.

All day long I hear "Mommy Look" and he is doing something that he is "proud" of being able to do.  Mostly it is hitting a ball, throwing a ball, ringing a goal, etc....
 and... the big one,

I RUN FAST!!!!

I have it on video and I need to post it.

Usually, when I am feeding Reid, I try to occupy Banks' time without TV and usually, I get him to show me what he can do.  Almost always, I ask him to show me how fast he can run.  Our new house makes a perfect loop through all the downstairs rooms and he has a "course".  By the time he makes it back to me he always says

"I did it....I did it....I run FAST!"

It. Is. So. Adorable.

Sweet Reid

Banks' School Picture

I just picked up this happy boy from school.

Georgia came to stay and we went to get yogurt.

Sissy and Banks reading books before bed.

Proud Papa

Casey chewed Banks' hammer.  Shhh...he still does not know and hopefully won't find out...

I sent this text to Mary Catherine yesterday.  That song will forever remind me of her and her dancing moves at the Sigma Nu house!

One Month Old

Our sweet baby Reid is one month old today!  I can hardly believe it has been a month since he was born.  We love him so much and he really is the best baby.

He had his one month checkup this morning and he did great.  He received one shot and was such a big boy.  Here are his stats:

Weight:    9 pounds  (25%)
Height:  21 3/4 inches  (50%)

Just perfect if you ask me.

I have really started to try to get Reid on a schedule as of this week.  We are using the Moms on Call method and he slept in his crib in his room last night for the first time.  He did pretty good, but we still have a long way to go.  He is getting up once a night on a good night, and twice a night on a bad night.  He really does not fuss except when he is hungry or dirty.   Sounds pretty easy, right?  Well, not so much.  Having 2 is an adjustment to say the least but we are doing well.  I am so tired all of the time but it is worth every minute of it.  Just having 2 healthy babies is such a blessing.

First Stroll around the Neighborhood

Tonight, we took our first walk around our neighborhood with 2 kids!  Crazy!  It was a very short walk, about 20 minutes, as I am horrifically out of shape and still taking it easy since the c-section.

We used our city select with the additional attachment and was quite a load.  This is a great stroller for everything but sidewalk walking.  It can be a bumpy ride.

I definitely see a double Bob in my future.

Look at our sweet Reid and how alert he is.  He loved the walk and getting outdoors.

No, Casey, you may not go with us.  You have a tendency to give out and lay down on us and that is just not cool.

Last Day of School

Today was Banks' last day of pre-school at St. James.  It was bitter sweet since we are not attending St. James anymore after today.  I was so sad to say good bye to his sweet teachers.   We have loved that school and will miss it, but are looking forward to beginning FUMC this summer.

Here is my big boy this morning (with his trucks of course).

And who says crocs aren't a good look?  No, really Banks, they look much cuter than your sun sands.....

Look how much he has grown!!!!

Here he is on his very first day at St. James.

Do They Look Alike?

Here is Banks at one month.....

 and Reid at 3 weeks.

I know it is not the exact same angle, but I think they look different.    Their noses and mouths are different for sure.

Only time will tell...

Our Attempt at a Photo Session

I had high hopes that Leigh Anne and I were going to get the great pictures of Reid today but we could NOT get him to wake up.   I like some asleep pics but he has the sweetest little eyes and we were really hoping to get some of him awake.  Oh well, these are cute anyway.

I also was hoping to get a picture of Banks and Reid together but what was I thinking!!!?? This little guy is just too active and does not get the concept of holding baby brother very carefully.    We will just have to try again later.

Baseball Anyone?

While I was in the hospital and Banks was in Tallassee, he evidently learned that he LOVES baseball.  Michael was so good to play with the boys in the yard and throw the ball for them to hit.  Well, needless to say, Banks got hooked!  I was a Target the other day and picked up a bat and some light weight balls for him.  He has been begging ever since for us to go outside and "play ball" with him.

I must say, he is actually very good.  He hits it about half of the time and sometimes it goes very far!

Oh, and he is SO proud of himself with he hit it.  What a cutie!

Off subject, but Casey got her annual shave.  Poor lady, she looks scary, but she is happy.

Today, we headed to Jack and Daniel's last t-ball game.  Banks was very excited to see them and was so cute clapping for them.  He had a minor meltdown at the end because he wanted to go out onto the field and "play ball".

Weekend with Weejie and Susan

Bryan's Dad, Walter and Susan came to visit this weekend to meet Reid and play with Banks.  We had a great weekend and I was able to relax a lot thanks to all of the extra helping hands with the boys.

Right after they arrived, Wej planted himself on the couch with Reid and stayed there for hours!  So sweet.

On Saturday, Bryan and his Dad had many projects around to house to work on.  They had to fix a pipe in our yard and it required some digging.  You know who was very excited to help!

Susan and Reid did some observing.  I think I had just come outside after a little nap.  :)

Banks had a great time showing Big Dog all of his trucks and his new playset in the backyard.

We had a great weekend.  They all cooked a yummy steak dinner for us on Saturday night.  Again, they woke me up from a nap when dinner was ready.  I was SO tired from the week in the hospital and trucking back and forth from that NICU.  Naps were a must with the extra help around.

Saying goodbye was hard for Weejie, who is smitten with Reid (in case you can't tell!!)
