iPhone Photo Dump

I am as guilty as anyone of snapping pics on my phone and doing nothing with them.   I try not to over post on insta and FB about every single activity of our lives, because quite frankly, that drives me nuts when people do that.

Instead of posting all of this at random, I am just going to do it all at once.

Reid is a dead ringer for Mercer Meyer's adorable, lovable Little Critter....and now he has his very own mini me.

I am trying to get a good photo of Casey for her pencil sketch and it is not easy.  Life as a youngster before digital images have not made it easy to find a good pic that really shows how beautiful she was.

Reid can be so grumpy in the car.

And oh so sweet too.

Cousin Jack came over Christmas and stayed the weekend.  We had a blast at the Eastdale Mall merry go round.

Bryan and I have been buiding fires in our fireplace like crazy.

I love to head out to the ice skating rink by myself on weekdays when all the kids are at school and have the ice to myself.  It is great exercerise.

If you are hungry, raise your hand!!!

I agonized over whether or not to buy this Annie Griffin top.  I NEVER take selfies and I sent this to Tara and my Mom, who both said I needed to buy it.  I ended up getting it the next day and I can not wait to wear it!

Buckley boy is SO spoiled.

For those of you who like antique leather bound books as much as I do will appreciate this.  I popped into an estate sale in my neighborhood and got all of these books for $80.  That is a total steal!

I went to a Cabi show and got these 2 new tops.  I can't wait for Spring.

Banks and Reid visited the dentist.

I get so sad when I drive by Montgomery Mall.  I can not even tell you how many good memories I have here.  This was THE place to shop and go with your friends in the 1990s. So, I decided to peek in the main entrance glass door, and guess what?  It is like frozen in time.  Mary Catherine and I are still working our connections to get a private tour from our police friends.

I am trying to get my friend to buy this house around the corner... isn't it so pretty?

My boys love their new puppy, Biscuit.  He comes downstairs every morning with them.

Spoiled boy again.

We celebrated Mardi Gras a few days late, when Daddy got off night float.  I made beignets and fried them from scratch.  Pretty yummy!

We met up with some friends to see the "Gator Boys".

Banks and Reid were in total awe.

Banks had his first real play date.  This was not a cousin or a neighbor.  We called Will McKay and asked him to come play.  They had SO MUCH FUN.

Bryan and Banks and some other guys went to Monster Jam.

These precious 3 and 4 year olds sang in church.

Weekend in Greenwood, MS

We enjoyed a child free night away on Saturday and Sunday.

We went to Greenwood, MS to attend the wedding shower of one of Bryan's college friends, Al Johnston.  Al and Aubrie are getting married in March and we can't wait for that fun weekend in Nashville.

It was so good to see Brooke, Celeste, and Caroline.  We had a great time catching up.

After the party ended, we went outside and enjoyed a warm fire and had some great laughs.

Before heading home on Sunday, we had to tour around and find the houses that were used to film The Help.

The first one we found was the mean girl ring leader Hilly Holbrook.  It looks exactly as it did in the movie.

Next, Elizabeth Leefolt.  Remember this house was used on many many indoor scenes, such as the bridge luncheons, and the heartbreaking scene, where Abilene is fired.   It is a very big ranch house with a huge huge flat yard.

Skeeter's house.

I read that they only filmed the outside scenes here and that the indoor scenes were shot in another house in Greenwood.  The people who live here have a sign up that invites all people to drive up and take a "walking tour" but after seeing that they were in the yard, Bryan and I thought they may talk to us too long and we needed to head back.

This building was used inside and outside as The Junior League of Jackson building.  You may recall the "Benefit" scene and they filmed right in front.  I think mean Hilly was giving an interview or something.  The inside scenes were also filmed here, as I was told the inside has not changed in over 50 years!

Minny Jackson's house.  All of the maid's houses were very similar to this one.

It was  GREAT weekend!  I missed my kids, especially my baby Reid, but it was good to get away with Bryan for a bit.
