More Memorial Weekend Fun

Tara and Robby recently purchased a beautiful condo at Lake Martin, which has a terrific view of the lake and a very cool pool. We went to visit on Sunday and just hung by the pool with all of the kids. Again, Banks loved being in the water and watching Noah, Nic, and Peggy play in the pool.

Noah bolted for the slide the minute we arrived!

Robby and Nate pretty much did this all afternoon.....

Thank you Tara and Robby for inviting us! We had a blast and can't wait to do it again.

Trying Something New

On Saturday, we decided to do 2 new activities with Banks: Swinging in the Park and the Pool. We went to the park in the morning and Banks LOVED the swings. He started laughing out loud and was shrieking with joy! It was oh so cute. He was a very happy boy for about 30 minutes.

After lunch and a nap, headed to the Pool. Again, Banks was SO happy! He loved it. He enjoyed splashing and kicking his little legs in the water. We did not stay too long since we were afraid of him getting a sunburn. It is great to know that we have some easy and free activities here that our little baby loves!

He was very serious about checking out the gadgets on his float.

I am SO happy Mom and Dad!!!!!

6 Months Old

Banks is 6 months old now and I can not tell you what a joy this little Sir is to Bryan and me. We had his appointment on Wednesday and he is a growing boy. Banks weighs 17 pounds, 6 ounces (75%) and is 28" long (90%).

Banks' End of the Year Celebration

Banks' school held their annual End of the Year Celebration on Friday afternoon. Bryan was not able to attend, as he was STILL waiting on the results of his Board Exam (which he PASSED!!!). He called during the parade to tell me the good news. It was very appropriate since Banks' class was coming by, music playing and all when I got the call from Bryan.

Friday was also Mrs. Jeanie's Birthday and the children made this poster for her. Is this not the sweetest gift for her?

Little Delmar

Well they say that every woman needs a little girl to dress and so I guess that means every man needs a little boy to dress...??? That is the case with my Dad and his boys. For any of you that know my dad you know that he is usually pretty dressed up and always heavily starched! So it comes to no surprise that he is on the lookout for crisp shirts for the boys. Here is a photo taken of my parents at my Mom's birthday party. If you could see my more, you would see that Daddy has on Khakis and a belt. So when he found this shirt for Jack, well, let's just say he was beaming!

Sweet Jack wore it at his end of the year program at school. I HATE that I missed it but he looks so cute. He calls the belt his "big boy belt". Needless to say, my Daddy was very proud of Jack and very happy to see his attire!

Action Packed Weekend!

As Bryan's big test approaches, Banks and I decided to head to Tallassee for the weekend to let him study, rest, and get some peace and quiet. As usual, we spent most of our time with the Butler Trio...and as always, it was BUSY, very entertaining, and fun.
There was a lot of peek-a-boo playing with Banks....

We played with the train table..
Georgie cleaned the mirrors and windows..

Jack made lunch and fed it to Kitty..
Georgia Anne took her self portrait..
Jack typed on his laptop...
and Daniel typed on his...
We snapped some cute pics of Banks...

The kids rode their cars..
We baked a cake at my parent's house....and enjoyed licking the beaters afterwards..

We went to Georgie's Dance Recital..
Georgia Anne had a "solo" with her friend Emily at the beginning of this number. She is on the left.

Daniel loved on Banks...A LOT!
We made a pot roast for lunch and Banks had his eye on the carrots.....
And he liked them!
Papa got a picture with his boys...
And the weekend would not have been complete without a cruise in the Jeep...

Needless to say, I went to bed at 7:30 on Sunday night and slept 11 hours! It was fun but very tiring.
