Easter Sunday

We celebrated Easter Sunday with Banks, our Church, and my Parents and Granny. The day started off with us heading down to the living room to see what the Easter Bunny had brought Banks.
Banks was wearing his "Jesus Loves Me" onsie from Nana and Papa, which was very appropriate for Easter Sunday.
The Bunny brought him a ducky basket, a train bucket, a bunny, a new bib, some cereal and...
a Jumperoo!!! He LOVES it!

We then went to Church and Banks came in the service with us. He was a perfect angel. It was a very lovely service and we were so glad to have Banks with us. After Church, we went to lunch at The Club with my Parents and Granny.

I hope everyone had a very Happy Easter! I know we did. We all rounded off the afternoon with an hour and half nap!

5 Months Old

On April 23, 2011, Banks was 5 months old. My goodness, where does the time go? He is just getting cuter and more precious every single day. This little boy is just a joy and a blessing in our lives and I love him more then words can express. He is doing so many more "tricks" and it is cute cute cute! He can roll over both ways, grasp everything with his hands, take the paci in and out of his mouth, hold his head up great, put his feet in his mouth (kind of gross, but oh so cute!), coo, laugh out loud, pull his chick down that dangles over his car seat, and almost sit up. We are working very hard on this! He is also sitting forwards in the BOB stroller and not sitting his in infant seat anymore on our walks. He loves to face forward and look around and I am so glad since I drag the poor little Sir on a walk just about every afternoon! Probably the biggest accomplishment of this month has occurred in the crib. We are now "swaddle free" and I can not tell you how scared I was to quit the swaddle, but he was busting out so many times a night that it had to be done. He did great the first night and after about 4 nights, he had it down and has been sleeping through the night! Hallelujah!!!! It is a miracle. He had slept through the night, but it was random and had no consistency. It is now rare that I have to get up with him in the night. He is still in a size 2 diaper but as soon as the 2s are gone, we are going to a size 3. He is now up to 5 oz . every 3 hours and still no solid food. Well, I think that is about it. He smiles a lot but for some reason when he sees the big black scary Rebel, he seems to have a stare down with it!

Banks' Easter Party at School

Friday afternoon, we were able to attend Bank's Easter Party at his school, Canterbury Child Development Center. Attendance was low Friday with only 4 children at school, but we went anyway and it was nice. We took the babies out on a stroll and into the garden of the Church and let them enjoy the fresh air and nice weather.

Going on a stroll with his friends, Ingram, Thomas, and Hamby
Banks has the most wonderful teacher and we are so blessed to have them taking care of him during the day. This is Mrs. Alina and Mrs. Jeanie. They are so kind and loving towards Banks and I just think the world of them.

BBQ at The Zoo

Saturday night, we headed to the Zoo for an event/fundraiser with our friends Lauren, Joe, Lendon, and Collin Baugh and Lauren and Cody Merrill. We enjoyed BBQ, live music, and the Zoo Carousel. It was Banks first ride on the Merry-Go-Round and he was such a big boy siting on the horse! It seriously was too cute! Here are a few pics of our night.

Lendon LOVED the music. He was out there dancing and loving every minute. What a cutie!

My New Highchair

This Big Boy can now sit in the high chair. He is still not eating spoon food but he likes to sit in it while we are cooking or washing dishes. He looks so cute and it reminds me of just how fast he is growing up....(sniff sniff).
