Walter and Susan's Wedding

This weekend, Bryan and I went to Vicksburg to attend the wedding of his father, Walter (aka Weejie) and Susan Loflin. It was a great weekend and we had a lot of great family fellowship beginning Friday night and concluding on Sunday afternoon. They had a small ceremony in the chapel of Crawford Street United Methodist Church, where Susan is the church pianist and Walter is a long time member. Afterwards, they hosted a lovely reception at the church. The turnout was great, despite the rain, and the food was delicious! We had a great time and we are so happy for them. Best Wishes!

Bama Baby

Well, I promise that this will be the last post about Alabama Football for the year! I know my Auburn followers will be happy about that. Anyway, I stole this pic from Leigh Anne's blog because it is just so cute! The McCaig/Butler family loves the Crimson Tide and we get them started early. Baby Daniel looks adorable in his jersey and hounds tooth hat. Is this a cute face or what?

National Championship Trip

Here are some pictures from the National Championship trip that Daddy, Michael, and Miles took last week. I really wish I would have gone, but oh well. I know they had a good time and from result of the game, the trip was worth while! Once again, Roll Tide!

The guys flew into Las Vegas and went to the Grand Canyon and The Hoover Dam. Evidently, the Glass Bottom "lookout" was cool. Daddy said that Michael did great and walked right out but he and Miles were struggling at first. The drop is over a mile down and very frightening.

Looks like it was a great trip for them and I am glad to share the photos. Maybe Bama will be on top again next year and we can do it again (and I am not going to sit that one out!).

As you all know, Thursday night was a great night for the Crimson Tide. My Dad and brother-in-law made the trip to California. I was planning on going but the kitchen project and vacation days got in the way so I watched it at home with Bryan (who I think was secretly pulling for Texas) and he had to endure my cheering and screaming. I have once posted that if the First Baptist Church doors were open, the McCaig family was there......and same goes for football. Growing up, if Bama was playing at Legion Field or Bryant Denny, the McCaig family was there!

I can remember missing over half of Tara's birthday parties because they were on Iron Bowl day. It was a huge part of my childhood and even though I chose to attend Birmingham-Southern, I will be a faithful Bama fan forever. I think Bryan has realized this and doesn't try to push Mississippi State on me anymore. It was a great night and we are proud of what they accomplished this year. Roll Tide!

New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, Robby and Tara, Lauren and Cody, and Bryan and I headed out on the town. Tara and Robby came to our house first and we had drinks. We then went to Hot and Hot Fish Club for a delicious dinner. Afterwards, we went to The Club for drinks and dancing. We had a great time and brought in the New Year in style! Happy New Year to everyone. 2010 is going to be a great year.

Toy Train Exhibit at McWane Center

Jack Butler's favorite thing in the world is a train. My Dad also loves trains. He is building a toy model train table for Jack and Daniel. When we heard about the model train exhibit at the McWane Center, we knew Jack would love it. Daddy treated us to a day at the McWane center and the kids had a blast. Jack's eyes were so big as he saw all of the trains. We were very impressed at the craftsmanship of the trains and scenery.

Georgie comes to Toe Toe's house

Georgia Anne came back to Birmingham with me on Sunday and we had many many adventures. First of all, we went to Jump It with Noah, Nic, and Tara. The kids had a great time and Noah was so brave on the rides. Little Nic wanted to play too but only was able to get in the moonwalk.

Whitney and Peggy met us at Chick Fil A for lunch. Peggy and her Mommy were dressed in matching J-Lo lounge wear.

We went to Whitney's house to see Peggy's new hot pink excersaucer. She was so happy to show us how she can play in it.

Later that day, Georgia Anne, Noah, Tara, and I headed to the movie theater (aka Movieator) to see the Chipmunks-The Squeakeal. It was very cute and the kids had a great time. Noah and Georgia sat right next to each other and Tara and I laughed so hard when sweet Noah, who was so enthralled with the movie, fell out of his seat! He was okay an laughed it off. At the end of the movie, the Chipmunks sang "We are Family" which is the song Georgia sang at our Wedding reception and so she got up and was shaking and dancing!

Our Final adventure occured when we pulled into the driveway and opened the garage door to see 2 RATS scamper up the garage wall into the ceiling! UGGG I am so sick of these varmets! The next day my pest control man pulled out 4 more dead rats from the attic.

I joked with Bryan that he went hunting in Mississippi for 4 days and didn't kill anything and I never left the house and killed 4!!!!
