Banks at 3 Months

Banks is 3 months old (as of Feb 23rd) and wow, the past 3 months have flown by! He is getting so big and doing more and more each day. Today, we had a photo session scheduled with Jennifer Hagler, but she got sick at the last minute so we had to reschedule for next weekend. After that, Bryan and I decided to snap some 3 month shots of Banks and needless to say, it did not go so well. He would not smile for us and was a bit fussy, so we were kind of glad we didn't have professional pics taken today. However, he did let us go on a nice long walk after that so that was okay.
I know I have said this before, but Banks is the best baby. We are so lucky to have a happy baby who is content unless he is hungry, tired, or dirty. At three months, Banks is cooing and smiling up a storm. He loves his bath, especially if the water is really warm. He enjoys going on long walks in the stroller, thank goodness, because we do a good bit of walking. He wears a size 2 diaper. He is holding his head up great and can now sit in the Bumbo seat. He has never slept without being swaddled and loves to be swaddled up with the Miracle Blanket. He pretty much sleeps through the night. He goes to bed around 6:30 or so and we wake him up at 10:00 to feed him. After that, he is good until about 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. I usually go into his room once to put the paci back in his mouth but he goes right back to sleep. We have almost eliminated the middle of the night feeding......almost....who knows, tonight, he might wake up starving! Today, he was playing on the play mat in his room and I swear, he was trying to roll over! That might be coming this month. He started going to Canterbury CDC this week when I went back to work and seems to be doing great. I miss him like crazy during the day and literally pull up to the church on two wheels to go in and get him. That is my favorite part of the day. He has had a cough and runny nose for the past week and absolutely hates when I have to suction his nose. I think he recognizes it and if he could run from me when he sees me coming with it, he would!
This is face we saw most of the photo session. Not ideal, but cute in a pitiful sort of way! Tonight, we came to the conclusion that he may have been fussy today due to an ear infection. Daddy peeked in his ear and thinks he saw something suspicious in his left ear. So, we are off to the doctor tomorrow. Poor Banks!

Bunko

I am so happy to blog about my Bunko group. We have been together for 5 years and it has been SO much fun. It all started back in June, 2006 when a few girls got together and wanted to start a Bunko group. Each girl invited someone and it was such a good idea because aside from Lauren Baugh, who invited me, I did not know anyone. Well, fast forward to present day and our group is still going strong and I have made some wonderful friends. I guess we really should call it a "Girls Supper Club" because we rarely play Bunko. Over the years, we have had LOTS of babies, a few job changes, a few moves from smaller to bigger houses, eaten TONS of delicious food and even have a Bunko Cookbook, had more laughs than we could count, many inside jokes, and just plain fun girl time once a month on a Wednesday night.

Banks' First Trip to Vicksburg

Sarah Beth and Sophie with Banks
Sarah Beth is the best big sister. She gave Banks his bottle and was very attentive to her baby brother. She is also such a little grown up! I had the best time playing with her and she kept me entertained with some hilarious conversation!
Allyson, Sophie and Banks
Banks and Andrew on the play mat together. They are only 4 weeks apart so I know they will be playing together for years to come.
Bryan and his first cousin, Syd with their boys.
Uncle Stephen and Aunt Jennifer Lynne got lots quality time with Banks this weekend.
Aunt Lenny
Me, Banks, and Carol McMillin
Susan and Banks
Uncle Michael doing the "football" hold as he called it.
Susan, Carol, Jennifer Lynne, and Weejie cleaning up after the WONDERFUL dinner.
We had a great weekend in Vicksburg visiting the family. It was fun to show off Banks to everyone and see their reaction. I must say, Banks was a bit hit and was so good. We were able to meet our new cousin, Andrew Johnston, who is 4 weeks younger than Banks. We had lots of good family time, including an over the top dinner at Jennifer Lynne and Stephen's house on Saturday night. Jennifer Lynne even busted out the fine China! What a treat! Banks was great except for a few tantrums in the car....which was okay since the ride was 6 hours.

Visiting Baby Nate (and Noah, Nic, and Tara)

I went down to Auburn yesterday to see Baby Nate and his family. I am trying to squeeze in everything this week before I go back to work on Monday and visiting Tara and the new baby was at the top of the list. Nate is just precious and so sweet. Noah and Nic love their new baby brother and were also very glad to see Banks. They were able to spend most of the day outside because the weather was nice, allowing Tara and I to visit while the babies napped.

Valentine's Day

Bryan and I had a great night out Monday night at The Club. It was a very low key night but very much needed! The Delks kept a sleeping baby Banks, which was good for all of us. The weather was nice so we were able to spend some time out on the terrace and enjoy the perfect view.

12 Weeks Old

Banks is now 12 weeks old and such a wonderful baby! I can not express what a dream baby he is. He is just the best sleeper and so happy during the day. He is also pretty darn cute too! I am not sure how much he weighs but I am guessing it is around 14 pounds. He has really started smiling and cooing so much and it is so sweet.

He still loves bath, even though this picture doesn't really show it. Bryan and I bath him together every night and it is a very special family time. We have our routine down pat and I think Banks knows it too.

Patty Cakes

Today, we had Banks' patty cakes done. It was so sweet to see the imprint of his little hands and feet. I can not wait until they are ready in about 2 months. I will post pics of them when I receive them. Banks was a good sport even though he did not like it very much, especially when they had to pry his fist open!

Funny Patty Cakes

While most people have the baby's hands and feet imprinted, some do their pets, shoes, or the hoof of the first deer they killed. We were cracking up because the pug and golden retriever reminded us of our family and the boot and deer paw had Bryan written all over it!
