14 Months

Banks is 14 months old. He is very busy all of the time! He loves to play and be independent and I love it. He can say a few words including :
Ma-Ma, Ball, Uh-oh, gone-gone, Da-Da, bye-bye, row-row (what he calls Casey), and a few other unidetified words (but he says them on a regular basis).

He still has only 4 teeth but he has about 4 more trying to come in on the top.

We hit the jackpot with this little sleeper. He goes down at 6:30 and wakes up about 5:30. I know it is early, but he sleeps 11 hours straight, so no complaints from us!

He is doing great with all of the table food. His favorites are: cheese, applesauce, raisins, yogurt, grilled cheese, roasted veggies, any casserole, baked fish sticks, mandarin oranges, peaches, and bread. The big surprises that he does not like right now are bananas and pb and J sandwiches. Oh well, the two easiest foods are not his favorite.

It kills me to say this but he is not the best restaurant patron. He is getting to that age where he is loud and will not sit still. He screams out and tries to grab everything on the table and throw it on the floor. My Dad has always "graded" the children on their behavior in restaurants and last night at Chez Lu Lu, he got a "D".

He started walking about a month ago, but I have not blogged much about it. He has really perfected it lately and is moving fast!

We went to the park this afternoon since it was pretty. Banks loves his car from Ricky and Brooke.

I hope you all have had a great Saturday!

Nate's First Birthday

This precious is ONE!

Today, we went a Winter Wonderland First Birthday party for our friend, Nate Hendrix. It was over the top cute and fun! Tara did a great job of making it just perfect

Nate was asleep in his Papa's arms at first, but he woke up shortly after the party started.

Meanwhile, Nic, Caroline, and Banks did a lot of moving around the house.

Tara and Robby

Candace has Caroline trained. She is always willing to pose for a pic.

Banks had a great time sitting at the table with the big kids.

Whitney and Peggy had just returned from Disney World, but still made the party.

All of the kids were willing to pose for the group shot.......except....only....where is Banks?
.....there he is....just playing with the ball popper. He was not too happy when I tried to get him to be in the group shot. He is 0-2 on group shots at birthday parties. Last week at Georgie's party, he was not much better.

Peggy, Banks, and Caroline had a big time playing with all Noah, Nic, and Nate's toys.

Cari, Tara, Whitney, Candace and Me.
We were worn out at this point!

Happy 8th Birthday Georgia Anne

Last Monday(Game Day) was Georgie's Birthday so Leigh Anne had her party on Saturday. Miss Priss is really into going to tea rooms now so Leigh Anne decided to turn her house into a very girlie tea room. Georgia was very specific to her as to how she wanted it decorated and what food she wanted to have. She HAD to have real dishes and tea cups, pink and green, cupcakes, donuts, sandwiches and tea. To say that it was cute is an understatement. We wouldn't expect anything less from Leigh Anne.

Bryan took my good camera to the woods to take pictures of wildlife (...huh?), so I had to make so with the point and shoot. The pics are not too bad, just not as good as with the Rebel.

All of the girls brought their American Girl dolls. Now, Caleb, 2nd from right, is one of Georgie's best friends and he was JUST FINE being the only boy at the party. In fact, I think he kind of liked it!

Kylie, Georgie, Emily, and Taylor

The American Girls chilled on the bench while the ladies (and gentleman) enjoyed their tea.

Banks pretty much stayed in Jack and Daniel's (who were MIA by the way per Georgia' request) room the whole party. He LOVES their toys, especially the train table and riding toys.

He also had a fine time showing off his walking skills.

It was a super cute party and they all had a ball.

Happy Birthday Georgia Anne!

National Champions and The Taming of the Honey Badger

Well, you knew it would be coming...my post about my trip to see the beat down that occurred on Monday night in New Orleans. I actually went to the game with my college roomie, Mary Catherine, and our other college friend, Gavin, and MC's family. My family was down there, but I did not go with them to the game, as my Dad gave his other ticket to Michael.

As soon as I got there, Mary Catherine was in our room and the first order of business was to hang our jerseys.

The Jerseys were hung in the closet with care.

Second order of business was to view the ticket, which Gavin brought with him

Next, of course, was to eat and hit Bourbon Street.

I must say, I am just way too old for that foolishness. It was ridiculous. I mean ridiculous. I was completely stressed out over wondering whose daughter the strippers were and trying not to bust my rear on the wet beads on the ground. All while trying to keep Mary Catherine's camera dry, keep up with each other.....oh and try to ignore the constant harassment of LSU fans. Needless to say, our walk on Bourbon Street was a rite of passage for the trip and I am very glad we went down there.

Okay, so Monday, January 9th (game day) was Georgie's Birthday. My Mom and I took her to the Mall to spend some of her Birthday money and get her some ice cream. In true Georgie form, she went to Claire's boutique and got chocolate ice cream.

Later that day, it was time to head to the game.

MC and I met the Goode Brothers, former players.

The game day crew was right in front of us.

HERE THEY COME and THEY WERE READY!

The final score and a view of the LSU section........

and the Alabama section!

What a great trip and a great night. Probably the most fun night of my life, second to my wedding. MC and I agreed it was "worth every penny" and it really was. We had more laughs than I can even remember and for those of you who know Mary Catherine, you know that she is just hilarious.

I have to give a huge shout out to my wonderful husband, who wanted me to go and have fun and who stayed home and kept Banks for me. Thank you Bryan! I could not have gone if it weren't for you.
