Banks' Profile

I do not know what it is about my baby's profile but I find it irresistible. Banks just has the sweetest little face and from the side, it melts my heart, especially when I can capture it with my camera. One of our favorite pictures of Georgia Anne is of her profile at about 2 months of age. Leigh Anne and I always look at that picture and say how sweet it is. I think these of Banks are very sweet too.

White Christmas

We came home on Sunday to find that it had snowed at our house. I think for most of us, we had a white Christmas. How fun! Here is a pic of our house covered in snow.

Christmas Day at the McCaigs

We had a great Christmas morning opening presents at my parents house. The Butler kids were in high gear and it was crazy...but fun of course. Banks hung out in the bouncy seat and then the car seat so he was pretty low key. Jack got more "real" tools, Georgia got a sassy coat from Nana and Papa and Daniel got more toys and was very interested in Banks bumbo seat. Bryan totally surprised me with an iMac. From the size of the box, I thought it was some gear for the baby but boy was I wrong.

Mama and I worked very hard on the meal and it was good and filling. The highlight of the meal was the turkey Bryan fried. For most of my family, it was the first time they had eaten fried turkey and I must say, Bryan did not disappoint. It was delicious!!! I ate so much I had to take a 2 hour nap afterwards. Thank goodness Banks was asleep too.

Christmas Morning at the Butlers

After we woke up and saw what Santa brought Banks at my parent's house, we went over to Leigh Anne's to see if Santa came to see Georgia, Jack, and Daniel..........and he did!

All 3 kids got new bikes and they were so excited. Jack and Georgia Anne got a guitar. Jack was very excited about his new "real" tools and a real tool box. I think Bryan was equally excited to play with the tools. Georgia had already baked some sugar cookies in her easy bake oven and they were pretty good. Daniel got lots of little toys and a Mr. Potato head...which for some reason cracks me up.

Our First Christmas as a Family of Three

This year was very special for us because it was our first Christmas as a family of three. Our best present was from God and you all know it is Banks. I know he does not look happy in our family pic, but he was really happy all weekend. He is the best traveler and slept great at my parents house in Jack's old crib. Santa came to see him in Tallassee and brought him a Bumbo seat, play gym, and lots of books.

One Month Old!

Tomorrow, December 23rd, Banks will be one month old! Wow, this month has flown by and it has been wonderful. I know I say this all of the time, but I have the sweetest baby. He is 8 and 1/2 pounds of LOVE! I can't believe he is mine most days. I try to savor each day because I know he will be a toddler in the blink of an eye. This is going to be a very special Christmas for us and we are very thankful for all of our blessings.

Christmas with Mamaw

Today, Mom, Leigh Anne, Georgia, Jack, Daniel, Banks, and I went to Mamaw's house for lunch and to celebrate Christmas with her. The kids were so fun and loved getting to see Banks. Banks was awake most of the day, so I am pretty sure he was taking it all in for later. The weather was also nice so we were able to go outside and play in the yard. It was a very fun day and a great way to start the Holidays.
