Okay, Let me first start out by saying that she is so happy! Now, on to the obvious issue at hand. As many of you know, Casey is very furry and the heat can be very bad here in Birmingham. I have been wanting to get her shaved for the past several summers but never got around to it. So, last week while I was in D.C and Casey was in Tallassee, I thought it would be a good idea for her to make a trip to the vet to get a shave. I didn't want her tail or legs shaved because Casey can see those and I did not want her to be freaked out and wonder what I had done to her. I just thought that if her hair was trimmed on her back and tummy, she would be cooler. I know she looks a little like the Cowardly Lion, but believe me (and my family will testify too), she is SO happy! I know she has to be cooler and that is a good thing for this senior citizen pup. I know her hair will grow back and she will look like the old Casey, but for now, let's just say, I won't be entering her in the Prettiest Dog in America Contest.
