Birmingham Baby Shower

Last Sunday, my friends gave me the most lovely baby shower. It was held at the home of Lauren Baugh and I can not tell you how beautiful everything was. I had a great turnout and my friends worked so hard on making everything perfect. I have the best friends in the world and I was so humbled by the love they showed me.

Cali Smith made this beautiful wreath for the door.

Georgia Anne was a big helper when I was opening the gifts. Everyone loved this adorable chair from Daniel Butler, painted by his talented Mommy.

I have to give special props to Whitney. She organized the entire shower and worked SO hard. Thank you Whitney!!!! It would not have been possible without all of her hard work.

The yummy and beautiful cake from Olexa's

Tara made these precious white chocolate candies on a stick. They were baby bottles and baby carriages. What a great favor!

Thanks Candace for making the long trip from Atlanta with the baby!

Vicksburg Baby Shower

Well, I am finally posting the pictures from our Baby Shower in Vicksburg. It was hosted by Bryan's family at the home of Jennifer Lynne and Stephen. It was great to see the Johnston family and they helped us get ready for baby Banks. We had the best time and felt so loved!

Bryan was so excited to open this Mississippi State Onesie from his sister, Laura Katherine.

Lindsey and Rob McClure (who are having a girl), us, and Bo and Alice McCollum (who are also having a girl). Rob and Bo have been friends with Bryan since their Freshman year at MSU. Our babies are all due within 4 months of each other.

Kelly and Jeremy's Wedding

Last night, we had a great time at Kelly and Jeremy's wedding at The Club. It was a great wedding with wonderful food, a fun band, and of course, a great view! We did not stick around too long due to the Bama game and me not wanting a repeat performance of baby kick-boxing due to the loud music. We had a very nice time and I wish Kelly and Jeremy all the best.

Model A Fun

These two little boys love the Model A, my Dad's antique car. They used to call it the "big Jeep", but now understand that it is an old classic car called the Model A. It is just so cute to hear Jack talk about the "Model A". I think they drive Leigh Anne crazy wanting to go over to Nana and Papa's house to ride in it. My Dad loves it though! They love to ride in the back and look out the back window. Last week, my Mom said that when it was time to get out, Daniel would not come out. He kept going from side to side and they had to "catch" him to get him out.

Jack ready to ride!

Wedding Observations

This past weekend, Bryan and I went to Anna Lister's wedding in Jackson and it was fabulous. She looked amazing and the reception was wonderful. While at the wedding, I made 3 key observations.

1. Being a guest at a wedding is a lot less stressful than being the bride.

2. Wearing a maternity dress to a wedding is NOT the same as wearing a Kay Unger dress.

3. Baby Banks HATES loud music.

He was totally out of control. The band was one of the best bands I have heard at a wedding . There were 12 members and a full horn section. At first they were playing "easy listening" music, but once the dancing started, they cranked up the volume. Baby Banks at this point was completly freaking out. It was insane! I kept thinking he would calm down, but he never did. We finally ended up going outside on the patio but he was so worked up that we had to leave. I think I can say that his hearing has developed and is good!
