The countdown is on until March 6. Lauren and Cody are getting married in 2 weeks and we are so happy for them. Lauren is a great friend and has waited a very long time for Cody and he is perfect for her. She is in full wedding mode and I know she will be a beautiful bride and will enjoy her day. Leigh Anne is taking some pictures for Lauren at the wedding, so I will post those in a couple of weeks. Best Wishes Lauren and Cody!
Many of you may have been wondering why I haven't posted in so long and the reason is, we have been busy doing boring home improvements. Here are a few pictures from the projects. Please know we are not finished with any of them but they are coming along. I will post final pictures when they are done.
For those of you who know me well, you know my house never looks like the following pictures. I like everything to be perfect, but sometimes to make it look better, it has to look rough for a few weeks!

We had the kitchen done in December but something was still missing....the floors. The new kitchen made the ivory tile look SO BAD! So, I called Bill Farley, hardwood floor extradinare, to come and lay down the floors. They are still unfinished and unsanded (the "acclimation" stage of 30 days) but he is coming next week to sand and stain and we are ready!

I do not know if any of you know how to make caramel cake, but never learned. I do LOVE caramel cake and eat it any chance I get. Last month, we went to Vicksburg and Bryan's cousin, Martha Ann, made this caramel cake and she was kind enough to give me the recipe. Well, the frosting only has 2 ingredients but it took me almost 2 hours! Despite how pitiful it looks, it tasted delicious. Bryan even made the statement it was the best thing I have ever made him. Huh? Well anyway, here is a picture of the finished product. I am a little embarrassed on the look of it, but it did taste great. If you would like the recipe, call me. It is too complicated to post, but I can talk you through it.
I officially have the laziest dogs in America. Last night, I was in the basement working on the computer and they came down the stairs and simultaneously got up on the love seat and assumed this position. I mean, seriously, this is pathetic! Maybe they are not lazy....they are just old and spoiled.
Well, I promise that this will be the last post about Alabama Football for the year! I know my Auburn followers will be happy about that. Anyway, I stole this pic from Leigh Anne's blog because it is just so cute! The McCaig/Butler family loves the Crimson Tide and we get them started early. Baby Daniel looks adorable in his jersey and hounds tooth hat. Is this a cute face or what?
