Pool Time: Take 1

We took Banks to the pool yesterday for the first time this year.   He was a little rusty on his pool skills. He was so serious and studied the atmosphere very carefully.  He did not want to get too wet and was really clinging to us more than usual.  We will probably spend a lot of time at the pool this summer in Montgomery, so I hope he starts to enjoy it.  I am going to do a Mommy and Me class this summer at Wynlakes with him so hopefully, that will help.

I can hardly believe how cute he is in his swimsuit.  Look at those squishy little legs and ankles.  I could eat them up!

Still VERY serious.....

Banks might not look too happy, but he was! He was just too interested in his ball and the balloons in the room to take pictures.

Easter 2012

I hope everyone had a terrific Easter Weekend and got to spend time with friends and family. We had a great weekend that started with an Easter Egg Hunt with our Sunday School class at Overton Park.

Banks had lots of static in his hair from sliding down the slide so much.

At first he was not sure about what to do with the eggs. He would pick them up and just hold them. Finally, he figured out to put them in his basket.

Whitney and Peggy

After the Egg Hunt, we headed to Tallassee. As usual, we stopped at the Butlers. I brought them WAY too much candy. (sorry, Sis)

We went to a wonderful service on Saturday night called Easter Vigil at our church. Bryan had to stay behind to put Banks to bed. We have moved his bed time to the very late 7:00 p.m. and with the Easter Bunny coming, we had to make sure to get him in bed on time.

On Sunday morning, we came downstairs to see that the Easter Bunny had come!

He was checking everything out at first.

As expected, Banks really liked his grocery cart.

I asked his teachers what toy at school he seemed to like the most and besides the obvious ball and books (which we clearly know he loves), they told me the grocery cart and lawn mower. We already have a lawn mower, so naturally, I thought the grocery cart would be great.

We took some family pics after Church.

This was my best attempt at getting a picture of the four kiddos. It is really SO hard to get them to all look at the same time.

Above: The Butlers

Below: Granny's Iris bulbs have started to bloom. They really were one of her favorite blooms in her yard in Hueytown and so my parents dug most of them up and brought them down to Tallassee when they moved her down here. They have done fairly well, but this one is a new bulb planted a few years ago.

Papa with his boys. Again, not an easy shot to capture!

Most of the guys opted for the linen suit this year! We had to get a group shot.

I just love Jack Butler's face. He really hates to have his picture made so you have to catch him when he is not expecting it. I was able to get this shot of his precious face and I think it captures his personality perfectly. He is so silly and serious at the same time, and such a deep thinker.

After we pigged out on lunch, I went outside an hid eggs for the kids to hunt.

Most of the eggs had treats in them, and this little Sir got his hands on a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. YUMMY!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus.

Lately

This post is going to be sort of all over the place.

We have been doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that...and a whole lot of trying to sell our house!

Activity has picked up tremendously this weekend and just in time....for the big move approaches and the azaleas are in bloom.

We hung out with Cody, Lauren, and Lydia

and the Gettys. Here is Mary being a little precious angel.

Mary and John are trying to turn Banks into an Auburn fan....and they were pretty convincing I must say!

Casey got her annual haircut.

Please, Please, do not judge. She is very very old and needs to keep cool.

We have been enjoying these beautiful bushes in our neighborhood. I think they are called a Snowball Bush.

Banks needs another haircut.

Okay, so let's go back a bit. For the first 4 months of his life, Banks spent about 16 hours a day wrapped up like an egg roll....and let me add that he was very happy that way.

So, the other night, Banks pulled one of the swaddle blankets out of his drawer and I thought it would be fun to try to swaddle him. It was NOT as easy as it once was!

He thought it was SO funny when he busted free.

Banks' favorite thing right now is a ball. He literally walks around the house all day saying "ball".

We had a blast at our friend, Lendon Baugh's 3rd birthday party.

And finally, Banks had his first taste of Nutella.
