Weekend in Vicksburg

We went to Vicksburg this weekend for a nice visit with the Johnston family.

We arrived safely (thank goodness) away from the storms just in time to meet the family for dinner.

Saturday, morning was a first for me. We did a RACE! Totally out of my box, but it was so much fun. We did the 5K and the Sir was along for the ride.

We all finished! It was very hilly and chilly, but overall, a great time. Here is Jennifer Lynne and Ashley. I must say, JL was a trooper. I can not believe she did it. I was completely worthless at 34 weeks, but she is doing great.

Ricky finished 3rd so needless to say, we missed him crossing the finish line, but here is a pic of Ricky and Brooke afterwards.

Banks loved getting out of the stroller and playing in the grass. It was pretty windy, so he had to keep his coat and hat on. I thought he looked like a little fisherman.

Afterwards, there was this huge party in the parking lot for everyone. It was so fun. There was a band, free food, sodas, and beer. Banks LOVED his first taste of popcorn.

He was having so much fun with the bag. Jennifer Lynne was throwing the popcorn and trying to ring Banks' mouth. He thought it was hilarious! He would open his mouth and when it would bounce off of his face, he was BUST out laughing.

Saturday night, we hosted a family baby shower for Jennifer Lynne and Stephen. It was very nice and the food and decorations were so pretty.

Banks had fun getting to visit with cousin Andrew.

Baby Lynlee Rhodes received some beautiful gifts and is already very loved!
